A New Beginning...

Today was a new beginning for me, a new job, a new challenge, a new way of life!

I started work today, not working for myself, but for someone else. It has been a long time since I have worked for someone else and not been the sole decision maker. Let alone, having other employees. I don't have to do "Everything!"

I am a Store Manager for Kirklands. A home decor store with great products at reasonable prices. Lots of variety, artwork, mirrors, seasonal items as well as simple decor. It will be a lot of work... getting the store set to high standards, training employees and pulling them away from the products and directing them to the customers. I am up for the challenge!

I feel great! Inspired! Tired! LOL I haven't had to be on my feet that long in a very long time! It felt great being in a working environment and helping customers and selling product and learning and working the sales floor.

So...it is a new beginning for me at 35! Something new and challenging!

Looking back...

I thought it would be fun to look back on some pictures for this time of year from years past...
so this is what I found...

Tristin's Scissor Mishap...Sept 2002
I should add, the shaved picture is my Husbands fault! He took the dog clippers to his hair and left stripes down the side of his head! LOL

Megan went to Kindergarten in 2002 and now she is in 5th Grade!

September 2003, my Sister got married after dating Mike for 10 years!

Fall 2003...Such a cute picture!

Tristin turned 5 in the spring of 2004!

Fall 2004... I went on my first scrapbook weekend with my two best friends, Marylea and Teresa in South Carolina.

My booth at Memory Trends 2004. Also, my first time meeting Melody Ross

from Chatterbox, Inc.!

September 2005 we got hit with a bad storm while we were on vacation... Needless to say, we came home to a mess!

September 2006, Megan turned 10!

Last pedals of summer...

Red Wing Drive...

One of our favorite fall activities is to take a drive down the river to Red Wing and spend the day exploring the parks, shops and riverfront. We had a beautiful fall day, but the leaves aren't quiet ready to change yet.
Maddie and Megan surveying the park and river.

Trist playing on the stairs and Maddie enjoying the view (ok..watching the seaguls)

Picturesk day on the river

Tristin going...going...gone!

Maddie playing around and Megan giving the letters a try!

Beauty comes in small packages...

Maddie learned how to slide...and LOVED IT!

Maddie is all worn out!

River Rendezvous...

We had a field trip to River Rendezvous in Bloomington, MN today which I had never heard of! It is a small village set up around an historic house. The village contains a variet of tents showing different activities done in the 1700-1800's from both Settlers and Indians. It was great fun and we had wonderful fall weather. It made it better that my daughters birthday was today as well, so I got to spend the entire day with her!
