Shocked...

As many... I am shocked at the bridge collapse in Minneapolis. Especially since this is a bridge I travel frequently.

It is always somewhere else in the world, not in your own home town that this happens.

As soon as I heard, I ran a list of people I know that may be in that area for some reason or another. For me, it was a lucky day, but for so many others, today is a terrible personal tragedy. I can only offer my prayers for the families of the missing and dead and send thanks to God for the ones who survived this unbelieveable accident. (photo by unknown, posted on WCCO.com)

Please send prayers to Minnesota...there are lots of people that need them!

It's so scary when it's "in your backyard". When I saw it on the news tonight, I thought back to when the cypress overpass crashed onto the bay bridge during the big 1989 earthquake.

That is such a tragedy. I'm glad you and no one you knew was on it. This is one of my greatest fears in life!!

I am grateful you and your loved ones were spared and I cannot imagine seeing this happen in a place where you live. I cried on the way to work this morning hearing about all the families still waiting for the recovery of loved ones, my heart is breaking for them.

Thank goodness you and your family are not in the area when it happened.

BTW, glad to see you posting on the ring again ;-).
