More Renaissance Photos...

We headed out to the Renaissance Festival again this past weekend and saw very different things than the first time. It was Irish Heritage weekend and I got this beautiful picture of the dancers waiting to perform. it was taken in color, but I really like it in black and white!

Introducing Tallie....

~ Our new feathered friend, Tallie has come to
our home. She is gray and white with a very
soft yellow tint to her white feathers, especially
around her neck. She is about 3 months old and
getting used to us quickly!

~ She is curious...almost too curious! As you
can see, she was checking out was in the cup.

~ She thinks she is a dog! Yep! She got a hold
of a ponytail holder and brings it to you, then
wants to you tug at it. She hangs onto it so
you can pull her across the table. The
funniest thing though is she hangs on to it
and we can lift her off the table by the ponytail holder!

~ She loves all of us and already gives kisses, as you can see with Megan below! I think
she is a great fit for our family and we can't wait to have more fun with her!

Secrets In My Garden...

In my garden...

I discovered secrets, beauty hidden by size and surroundings.

The dandalion seeds blowing in the breeze and the delicate clovers tucked under the buttercup lilies long, luscious leaves. Hot pink tassels pluming from fall grasses and bright yellow blooms arranged perfectly. There was a frog making friends with our bobble-head frog and seed-filled brushes, soft to the touch. A giant (Hailey) roamed the ponds edge and soft yellow flowers boasting bold purple centers. Water droplets from freshly watered greens and the intertwining swirls of an unusual weed flower among the green grass.

Good Ol' Fun...

Over the weekend, we headed out to the Renaissance festival.
I had not been in years and this was the first time for Meg.
We saw "Twig" the fairy, were greeted by royalty, walked through
a secret garden and Meg got her first renaissance costume,
just to name a few things! What a great day!

Goodbye, my Sunny...

We have sad news...

I just went to say goodnight to our bird, Sunny and found him dead in his cage. I am so sad...especially since we only had him for a year. I am not sure what happened, he had been sitting on the bottom of the cage the past day or so, but no other signs at all.

We are very sad to say goodbye to Sunny!
We will miss you!
